Disclaimers
- The information provided is based on the available official regulatory data. It is indicative and does not replace consulting NOTAMs, SUP AIP and other temporary restrictions before each flight.
- Night flight is forbidden in the open category in France (an exceptional prefectural exemption is required), even though the European regulation allows it in principle.
- Operator registration is mandatory from 250 g (or for any drone with a camera/sensor): the 800 g threshold concerns only remote electronic signalling, not registration.
- The transition period for drones without a class marking ended on 1 January 2024: drones without a class marking of 250 g or more are now limited to subcategory A3.
- Always check forbidden or restricted zones (airports, sensitive sites, parks, military zones) on Géoportail before each flight.
